In September 1999, the Master Builders Association recognised the need to establish a local specialised building industry training scheme.
This scheme would ensure that dedicated staff and committed members of the building community would guarantee the longevity of the building industry in the Hunter. The scheme would employ and train young people, with a fresh, hands-on approach to youth employment and education in the wider Newcastle region.
Now Newcastle MBA Group Training is the acknowledged industry training body of apprentice/trainee for the area’s Building and Construction industry, boasting over 160 apprentices and over 100 host employers.
We provide a dynamic and integrated program for persons wanting a head start (and qualified training) in the region’s building industry. Apprentice/trainees learn practical skills, combined with an accredited education program in their chosen trade.
