Even though she left her childhood home long ago, the happiness still surrounds her. However, Sydney was not home for long. Anne remarried there and then moved to Budgewai on the Centrai Coast, to a more welcoming and relaxed lifestyle. Born in Ashfield, Sydney, Anne grew up alongside four energetic okder siblings Her dad, a dentist, had longed to be a priest so when Anne finished school and announced her interest in becoming a Dominican Nun he was delighted *I did my teacher's training with the Dominicans and I loved it." says Anne. "Once l'd groduated, I was moved around quite a bit - Melbourne, Tamworth, Maitland and more. I taught upper primary and lower secondary - general maths and other subjects It really was great." "However, once the end of the 1960s came my health wasn't wonderful so i needed to take some time off. I recovered but didn't retum to the Dominicans, choosing to do a science course at university instead. *I went back to teaching and i married in Sydney in 1971 Anne's family quickly grew with her son born in 1972 and her daughter in 1973 "I was still teaching and still loving it," she adds. Ten years later the family decided to leave Sydney behind and move to Mittagong. They had spent Easter there in a caravan park and decided it would be a wonderful place to live and raise kids.
