maitland News city council MAITLAND TRIATHLON 2022/2023 QUEENS WHARF ROAD, MORPETH TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES AND CHANGED TRAFFIC CONDITIONS Following the postponement of the original scheduled date for the above event, Council advises the following Maitland streets will temporarily be closed for the upcoming Maitland Triathlon 2022/2023 on Sunday 12 March 2023. From 5.30am to 2.00pm Sunday 12 March 2023 for the duration of the event a temporary full road closure: Queens Wharf Road, Morpeth. From 5.30am to 11.30am Sunday 12 March 2023 a partial poad closure during the cycle leg: Swan Street, eastbound lane only from Tank Street to Robert Street. Motorists will travel on westbound lane only along this section of Swan Street. From 7.30am to 12.30pm during running leg there will be controlled local vehicle access only: Steamer Street and Queens Wharf Road (extended). These roads will remain open to local traffic only during the various stages of the event. However, motorists are advised to expect minor delays at various locations on these roads as event participants make u-turn movements at each terminating point.
