maitland News city council YOU'RE INVITED TO THE MAITLAND CITY COUNCIL OPEN HOUSE As part of Local Government Week, we're throwing open the doors of the Maitland Town Hall and new Maitland Administration Centre for an all ages Open House on Saturday 5 August from 10.00am - 1.00pm. Take a tour of the historic Town Hall, step inside the new Administration Centre, which officially opened earlier this year and check out a Council plant and machinery display including a range of vehicles used to repair roads and collect waste. Grab a bite to eat from the free community BBQ, chat with your local Councillors and settle in for live performances from Maitland Brass Band, Maitland Pipes and Drums and Maitland Community Choir. Plus, learn all about the ins and outs of local government, including the array of careers available and the programs that Council runs.
